Finished Basement:
As this winter seems to never end, we are happy to have finished the main framing and carpentry work at the Nelson residence in Caledon. The project was late starting due to the architect and The Town of Caledon’s Building Department not having the building permit ready on time. With such a large house (5600sq’), it was important to have the roof on before winter – and we just made it Yea! Now for the finished basement where it is nice and warm.
The work now left to be done by us is mainly in the basement, where the is heat!!!! The finished basements are great for adding extra space, and this home will have a very large living room with fireplace, two bedrooms with ensuites, and last but not least a bedroom size wine cellar. This finished basement features 9′ ceilings, a full walkout on two sides, and infloor heat supplied by a Geothermal system.
